Hey, I’m a mixed-methods Researcher based out the Pittsburgh area.

Get to know me little more…

From a path perspective, I think I’ve always had an appreciation of humanity and connection. I remember stumbling across my first Anthropology course and thinking to myself, “Can this be true? An entire discipline dedicated to the study of humans?” I read my intro book from cover to cover and wrote the author to tell him I enjoyed it — seriously.

The connection of humanity and technology hasn’t always been a passion though. That snuck in over time as I started to work on products and saw something key was missing in how we work. One of my first roles was as an on-site business analyst where I’d sit with my client and watch their day-to-day. Their realities were incredibly meaningful, I thought.

In some ways I now look beyond my own daily work days. I am intrigued by how to bring human-centered design to life in businesses. It’s a culmination of all my experiences in the past that now brings to me to a place where simply doing good research is not enough. I am hungry to see that impact, and continue to seek ways to mature HCD wherever I land.

Yet still as practitioner, I remain committed to my personal development. This year I am focused on increasing my knowledge in two areas 1) accessibility and 2) quantitative methodologies. This March I gained CPACC accreditation from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals.

…and a little more

She/Her. I am a first-generation Latina of immigrants from Ecuador and Hungary. With my partner, we enjoy riding our bikes on trails and gravel.

I likely come across as reserved in nature. I am diligent, and measured. I would say my creativity comes in the form of making interesting connections between ideas. A strength of mine is the ability to execute those weird ideas. A challenge I’m still working on is the ability to simply explain them.
