This was first foray into writing HTML. I completed this small project as an assignment in a Software Documentation course at Carnegie Mellon University.

I chose an app I am comfortable with, Strava, to document and focused on a few key user goals. I completed rapid user research through Reddit and Strava posts, testing these end user goal hypotheses. You can see these goals reflected in the directive form on the right image as “Record your activities,” “Edit your activities,” etc. I then broke down goals into tasks and described how they carried out in the product.

What I took away from this assignment from a strategic perspective was the importance of writing documentation from a human-centered perspective and what that actually means, how to do it. Tactically, I learned how to write the smallest amount of HTML. That was kind of cool too.
